It's always a big event when a publisher like Riot Games launches one of its new games, even in closed beta. On Twitch, this April 3 is no exception to the rule with the brand new FPS, Valorant.
Even before the launch of the streams on Twitch, the platform counted at least 300,000 viewers. Yesterday, the number of simultaneous viewers is close to one million, with a peak at 950,000, exploding the audiences of all the other games — League of Legends had around 300,000 viewers and Fortnite around 100,000.
What are the likely reasons for such a success for pre-recorded games from the previous weekend? Among others, the possibility to recover keys for Valorant beta which will be accessible from April 7.
We can expect the same, or even better, when the beta will be released next week. Riot Games has just announced Valorant Twitch Rivals, a competition gathering many streamers and influencers.
