It's now official: until the end of the 2022 season, the ESL and DreamHack tournaments concerning Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Starcraft 2 and Warcraft III will be broadcast only on Twitch. The platform signed an exclusive contract with the organizers, whose financial terms have not been disclosed. Certain deadlines are already planned, the agreement will not be effective until 2021. Note that this contract concerns all ESL Pro League tournaments but also ESL One, Intel: Extreme Masters, DreamHack Masters, DreamHack Open and ESL National Championships.
After having suffered a setback last February with the acquisition by YouTube Gaming of the broadcasting rights of all competitions of Activision Blizzard, Twitch reacts strongly.
