Criticism has been levelled at the aim assist, a feature unique to controllers on Fortnite. While Epic Games has promised a nerf for the Aim Assist via patch 12.61, which is expected to hit the game this week, veteran competitors continue to hammer away at their discontent. The latest indignant is none other than reigning world champion Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf.

Usually rather calm and composed on social networks, the American star has this time raised the tone, with a murderous tweet against the aim assist:

Bugha posted this in the middle of the North American FNCS final, where he finished 40th. It's not the first time the world champion has castigated the aim assist. Last March, he had explained live that the aim assist was "not something fair".

It remains to be seen how Epic Games intends to resolve this issue, which is taking up more and more space in the debate around the competitive arena. We should have an answer from the publisher directly in-game this week via patch 12.61.
