The number sounds astronomical, almost impossible. Yet a player named lunviu has managed to get 73 eliminations in one single game — without any cheat.

Most of us are happy when they reach 20 or 30 kills in Valorant, but some players often defy the odds.

That's the case of lunviu, who posted on Reddit a video in which he displays an incredible talent by reaching 73 eliminations. In view of this impressive figure, suspicions of cheating or hack spread, forcing Riot to intervene in order to explain how it happened.

In his own words, lunviu isn't a "good player", and he explained that his record was mainly the consequence of a weird matchmaking. Although he had reached Gold, lunviu hadn't played that much normal game — meaning his ranked MMR was high, while his unranked MMR was pretty low.

According to him, this uncanny matchmaking led him to play against opponents that were clearly under his level. Despite this, his record remains quite an achievement...

Valorant ranked mode unavailable at launch

On June 2, Valorant will be officially released. However, to ensure the server stability, the competitive queue won't be available at launch.
