The American star is launching his own tournament in Fortnite, presented as an online Invitational divided into six separate editions with $480,000 to go. The prize pool for each will be $80,000, and will take place every Thursday from May 28 until July.
We still know very little about this event, but we do know it will welcome some of the biggest players on the planet. Fortnite World Cup winner Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf, FaZe Clan's Soleil "Ewok" Wheeler, and Malachi "Reverse2K" Grenier are confirmed, along with Nicholas "Nick Eh 30" Amyoony and Nate "NateHill" Hill.
The format hasn't yet been specified and it's unknown whether the matches will be in solos, duos, trios, or squads. The entire event will be streamed on Ninja's Mixer channel, and it's likely the individual players will stream from their perspectives too.
Ninja isn't the first star to announce his own event. Benjy "Benjyfishy" Fish also hosted a well-received solo tournament in partnership with Epic Games. Many players and veterans alike praised an innovative and relevant format.
