Players were expecting news by June 2 and the official release of Valorant. It starts on May 30 with the official announcement of Reyna, the eleventh agent who will be available in a few days.
Teased in many different ways, it had appeared for a few days now that the new agent would be a woman. In terms of the skin and appearance of his spell kit, we could make a comparison with Moira or Sombra from Overwatch, especially for the orbs of the first one but also the physique of the second one. Here is the first video and the first seconds of gameplay of the first one:
Although we can't be absolutely sure of the veracity of all that follows, her capabilities seem to be as follows:
- Flashbang (C)
- Invisibility after a kill? (E)
- Personal healing (after killing opponents?) (Q)
In the first few seconds of the video, we see her kill Cypher and then say, "Give me your heart." The E is used, but it's complicated to say the exact effect of the ability (an invisibility after a cast of a few moments?). We also see many bars that we aren't used to see: an Empress, as well as a Combat Stim, then an Overhealed. Reyna's last line in the video is, "All dead, but I'm still hungry." It really seems like we're dealing with a character who feeds off the life energy of her opponents in one way or another.
A priori, her ultimate doesn't seem to be used during the video, and we will know more soon. It's also important to note that an Overheal bar appears at some point, which could give a kind of extra shield to Reyna if she heals herself when she's already at her maximum life. The flashbang should be a very useful tool for this new agent who will be able to blind and then regain life by killing the opponents. Finally, the video is set on a new map, which could already be assimilated to Ascent, since the name has already been communicated by Riot Games.
