Season 3 of Fortnite was first delayed, and then postponed, due to current protests taking place worldwide. While this week has felt never-ending with no patches nor missions planned at the time of writing, we shouldn't believe that Epic Games are simply sitting on its hands.
The French dataminer Yanteh noticed that the publisher had carried out no less than four tests in half a day, and one test on Build 13.20 of the game. These figures could mean that Season 3 could be a real headache for the developers.
It's bad news in the way that its development is taking longer than usual, but good news in the sense that the new features are likely to be numerous and innovative.
Epic Games are also very proactive with future versions, since version 13.20 (the second patch to be released after the arrival of S3) is already in the pipeline. This information comes from FireMonkey dated Friday, June 5th.
The preparation of future updates has always existed in Fortnite, and is used in particular to detect most of the bugs in advance. It is however rather rare for Epic Games to have to carry out so many tests in such a short period of time.
