Valorant has an undeniable competitive potential and can hope to quickly make a place for itself between the CS:GO and Overwatch scenes. Riot Games is trying to give itself the means to do so. By announcing the Valorant Ignition Series 2020 it has clearly set the first competitive milestones in the game. The first European stage, organised by G2 Esports, took place from June 19 to June 21.
During the tournament, Team Mixwell took the victory on Team draken, winning the $11,210 cash prize promised to the winners. Nevertheless, the Swedish player was crowned MVP of the tournament, enough to make up for the defeat in Finals.
