With the release of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3, it's a whole new meta to get used to. Weapons, locations, and means of getting around have all changed, and pro players will have to get used to it very quickly. If the seasons aren't postponed, they're quite short and you have to adapt very quickly to perform in competitions.
From the very first moments after the end of the season, the debates started. One criticism often comes up: there's too much water. Based on the results of a poll proposed by Kinstaar, more than two thirds of people gave Season 3 a score of more than 4/10.
Encouraging figures, but they tell only one truth in a short space of time, as things change so quickly in the battle royale. For the moment, opinions seem to be rather positive.
Efforts in balancing
One of the dark points that remain is balancing: how can we succeed in making a fun game that can appeal to the greatest number of people, but also balanced so that the competition can run normally?
Mythical weapons are among the sensitive subjects. Do they have their place in a tournament when you know their powers and the advantage they offer their holders? Will Fortnite again disable certain elements and dissociate the casual games from the ranked games?
While a lot of questions remain, the season seems to be off to a good start and we should be able to see more clearly as we approach the first competitions — the FNCS in particular, which should be announced shortly.
