Streaming platform wars take a different turn after Mixer's complete shutdown. Since the end of its exclusive contract with the Microsoft platform, Ninja is back on the market, but maybe not for very long.
On July 7, the famous Fortnite streamer was caught testing live programming on YouTube. For many, the maneuver would be far from insignificant. Many streaming experts see this as a strong signal, or even proof of a signed contract.
At the time of this writing nothing is official: this is just a guess and maybe no contract between Tyler "Ninja" Blevins and YouTube has been signed.
The American streaming superstar — who dominated Twitch in 2019 with no less than 14.7 million subscribers — signed an exclusive contract with Mixer, retaining him to produce any content on YouTube, a platform on which he had 22 million subscribers at his best period.
According to rumors, Ninja has already turned its back on Facebook Gaming, which gives him the Cornelian choice of YouTube or Twitch — if signing an exclusivity contract there is. This ephemeral appearance today on Google's platform could well be a first clue on his choice!
