Since the official release of Valorant, Riot Games have been quite reactive concerning balance changes. To be completely honest, we weren't expecting less from the studio that's already patching three other games every two weeks.
Something we aren't used to is a reported lack of transparency — as it seems Reyna has been nerfed during Patch 1.03 without that change being notified in the official patch notes.
Reyna's dual skill in question
Reyna is a duelist who rewards risk. Her skill Dismiss / Devour can only be used if it is near a freshly killed enemy. She can then consume his soul to heal herself or become intangible. If some people find this skill too strong, it would seem that players have noticed a significant nerf that was not present in the last patch notes.
Previously, Reyna could consume the soul in question before looking away, to quickly check in particular the surroundings around her. The bond which binds her to the soul of her enemy and the healing effect was interrupted only if the line of sight between them was cut.
Since the last patch, this is apparently no longer possible. The link breaks as soon as the consumed soul is no longer in Reyna's screen.
A bug or a hidden nerf?
While several players have complained about it, we still don't know exactly if this change is actually intended or not. As usual, since Riot hasn't communicated yet about the subject, this information is to be taken cautiously.
