Not only we learn about the personality of Eivor in this Assassin's Creed Valhalla trailer, but also about his fate. The predictions of Valka, the clairvoyant of his clan, reveal us more about his journey into 9th century England. At that period, Norway was lacking resources and cultivable lands, which pushed many Vikings to venture all over the world to lead raids and bring back their trophies and loots to their homeland.
However, the story of Valhalla is slightly different. Ubisoft aren't hiding the fact they largely took inspiration from the legend of Ragnar Lothbrok, a Viking tale that was popularized by the show Vikings. As a consequence, Eivor isn't only looking to raid he wants to colonize. Torn apart by internal conflicts and political wars, England is perfect prey for him and warriors of his clan...
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is planned for a release on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on November 17, 2020. The game will be then released on PS5 and Xbox Series X at their launch.
