Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 is moving forward and water is definitely giving way to land. A third drop in water level began this Saturday morning, revealing roads, landmark places and even ancient cities recently flooded. Some surveyors have even managed to determine the date of the next drop in the water level, which they say will take place on July 24.
In the meantime, a new feature should have been added to the battle royale: piloting cars. These vehicles have served us until now as metal tanks, but we'll soon be able to drive them. It makes sense for Epic Games to speed up the rate of the dwindling numbers a bit to bring more roads and land out into the open so that the engines can hum at full throttle.
ShiinaBR has created a comparative map to help us visualize the consequences of today's drop in water levels right away:
We notice that some of the islets to the south-west are still moving a little, and that some decorative boats are disappearing altogether. "No Sweat" also seem to be giving up, since the locality of Pleasant Park has got rid of its safety floats, and has returned to its normal state.
Weeping Woods and Dirty Docks are slowly starting to resurface, but we'll probably have to wait a little longer to fully enjoy these spawns!
