Although David "davidp" Prins already has a great prize list, he isn't yet a member of a team. While he won two stages of the Valorant Ignition Series with G2 Esports, he had only stand-in status. Should G2 sign him for good?

Valorant: Should G2 Esports keep davidp in their team?

G2 Esports is currently crushing the European competition in Valorant and is relying on five-star recruitment. Behind captain Oscar "mixwell" Canellas Colocho are great former CS:GO players. However, there are only four players under contract.

David "davidp" Prins isn't (yet) a full-fledged player in the roster, he's just been playing a stand-in role. In view of his performances, Carlos "ocelote" Rodriguez's team should perhaps consider bringing him on board for good.

At the moment G2 Esports consist of the following players:

  • Oscar " mixwell " Cañellas Colocho
  • Patryk " paTiTek " Fabrowski
  • Jacob " pyth " Mourujärvi
  • Ardis " ardiis " Svarenieks

Davidp who temporarily completed the team at the Vitality European Open and the WePlay! Invitational, two tournaments that G2 won hands down. The Belgian player will still be there for the upcoming Mandatory.gg Cup. The next logical step would be to permanently integrate him into the rest of the team.

Collective success

G2 Esports stays on a big winning streak and is gradually decorating its trophy cabinet. The orgabization is crushing the European competition.

While waiting for probable tournaments including American teams, G2 would be wrong to disrupt the team's good mechanics. Why change a winning team?

There is a good atmosphere and all the indicators are green. It's not necessarily clear who else but davidp could be a better addition to the team base.

Individual success

As we have already noted in our review of the Vitality European Open, davidp is performing very well. It has very good statistics (KDA, KD, FB...).

He masters his Sage to perfection, and when you know the importance of this agent in a composition, you really don't see what's keeping G2 from signing davidp definitively.

Above all, not signing him is exposing himself to the risk that he will go elsewhere after a while. To continue to crush the competition, G2 Esports has no real interest in letting go of a quality player who is currently available.
