With Huni in the top lane, Goldenglue in the mid lane, and Svenskeren in the jungle, Evil Geniuses stomped over Cloud9 last week, confirming in the process that gods can actually bleed. Although recruiting Gilmer with a one-week contract so Huni can play felt a bit cheesy at first, it seems that the mid player clearly went beyond expectations. Let's face it: it was a test and Gilmer passed it hands-off.
Reunited with Svenskeren, Goldenglue performed extremely well against their former organization, Cloud9, and then managed to hold the fort under Team Liquid's assaults. Sure, Evil Geniuses got defeated there, with Tactical and Jensen going on a rampage — but it could have been way worse.
As Huni's performance was also pretty solid last week, Evil Geniuses decided to lock both players as their starting solo laners until the end of the split.
Evil geniuses are currently tied in fourth place alongside FlyQuest and Golden Guardians. Given their current record, they shouldn't have too many difficulties securing a spot in Playoffs — but considering their opponents', they shouldn't feel safe at all. CLG, currently in seventh place, are only one victory behind them...
