Whether it is from leaks from the Red Door internal alpha, the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and now Battle.net, Call of Duty fans are still no nearer as to finding out what the 2020 release is going to be named.
It is still impossible to find a concrete name for the game, but reliable TheGamingRevolution has found the developer version of the game on Battle.net.
The files are named Black Ops 5, and goes against the heavily rumoured name of Black Ops Cold War.
Rumours have suggested that the franchise is returning to the Black Ops storyline, potentially even rebooting the sub-franchise in a similar fashion to the 2019 release of Modern Warfare.
The game is still slated for a Fall 2020 release despite the lack of official information coming from Activision and Infinity Ward. There are still a few more showcases coming from Sony and Microsoft, could one or both of them shed some light on the game? Or is Activision planning a standalone reveal like it has done for previous Call of Duty titles? We will have to wait and see...
Stay tuned for the latest Call of Duty 2020 news.
