If there's one patch that you don't want to miss in Fortnite, it might be this one! Packed with content, Patch 13.40 brings the Joy Ride Cars in the game, allowing players to freely drive accross Apollo Island.
There are also other balance changes and addition in this patch, as well as bug fixes.
The arrival of Joy Ride Cars
Cars are back on the map and you can now into the driver sit. There are several types of cars, with different sizes. Players will need to fill them in stations, so you might want to keep an eye on the gaz gauge.
Cars and trucks can also carry passengers, who can use their weapons once on board.
Note that driving is not available in Arena mode, nor in competitive.
Increased spawn rate of Stink Grenades
Acceleration of the first storm circle
In order to speed up the start of the game, Epic Games have decided to make some changes to the First Storm Circle.
- Radius of first storm circle changed from 24 to 23
- Time for the first storm reduction has been reduced from 240 seconds to 210 seconds.
- First circle wait time changed from 200 seconds to 170 seconds
Miscellaneous fixes
- A mouse cursor was appearing on PC, while the player is using a controller (bug fixed)
- Gliders were slowing down for no reason after certain deployments (bug fixed)
- Fixed issues with viewing the EXP bar and leveling up
- Ocean’s Bottomless Chug Jug unable to be picked up while recharging if dropped by another player.
- Fixed a text display bug after using the Hydro 16 Vortex
- The challenge "Land at Frenzy Farm or Yacht and finish in the top 25" was not counted in duo and squad (bug fixed)
- On mobile, the elimination timeline did not always appear (bug fixed)
- On mobile, yellow squares appeared when leveling up (bug fixed)
- On mobile, Shark glider color problem (bug fixed)
