Blizzard confirms all-digital BlizzCon for early 2021

Preparations for the virtual BlizzCon are well underway and Blizzard has confirmed it for early 2021.

Blizzard confirms all-digital BlizzCon for early 2021

When announcing its results for Q2 2020, Blizzard confirmed a "virtual" BlizzCon in early 2021.

On the community side, we hoped to see the event at the end of 2020, the year would then have had its big rendezvous and on the fans' side we would perhaps have had less of the impression of having lost a year because of the pandemic. Only Blizzard had put their cards on the table: this wasn't an exercise in which the publisher felt comfortable and the learning time required to successfully bring the virtual meeting to life was likely to take them to next year.

Now, J. Allen Brack has confirmed the holding of the event for early 2021 without saying whether to wait for it in January, February or March. The questions now turn to the nature of the announcements that will be made there: more information on Overwatch 2? New images of Diablo IV? And why not the announcement of a new franchise.
