Fortnite's community, just like most FPS', is traumatized by cheaters — and justifiably. This is all the more worrying when it concerns competitive play since it comes to endanger competitive integrity. After all, what's the point of competing if it's not based on the fair play?
Amid the recent polemics that surrounded the competitive scene of Fortnite, Epic Games don't joke around with cheating allegations — and Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf was immediately flagged by a behavior warning after he played the last Fortnite Champion Series. The returning world champion was reportedly talking on Discord with other players taking part in the competition, and was accused of sharing information.
Both Bugha and Owl, the player he was on Discord with, were given a warning but he two protagonists were quick to react to the clip supposed to prove their offense. According to them, there's no collusion issue since they had clashed earlier in the round, with the incriminating clip being taken out of context.
Even though Bugha and Owl only received a simple warning which didn't lead to negative consequences for either player, anger is brewing in the Fortnite community...
