Dota 2: The International 10 prize pool breaks records

Another year, another Dota 2 Battle Pass record — the crowd-funded prize pool for The International 10, postponed until 2021, has surpassed the amount raked in last time out, standing at over $34.5 million to date.

Dota 2: The International 10 prize pool breaks records

It's official — the prize pool for The International 10 is the biggest single-event prize in esports history.

With the current figure for the showpiece event in competitive Dota 2 scene standing at $34,529,794 (as of Friday 28, 14:15 CEST), that's roughly $200k more than last year's figure.

It truly is an astonishing figure, especially given everything that has happened worldwide of late.

While this amount hasn't been acknowledged officially by Valve, the company did comment on TI10 being delayed and the general state of the Dota Pro Circuit.

Assuming the Battle Pass will remain on sale all the way to any rescheduled TI, we could see a figure that becomes unassailable for many years to come.
