Joshua "steel" Nissan will have enjoyed only a few days of his competitive retirement. He has decided to give a second breath to his career by joining the 100 Thieves Valorant team.

Valorant: 100 Thieves signs steel

Joshua "steel" Nissan has set himself a brand new challenge at the age of 30. He who a few days ago was a CS:GO pro player at ESL One Cologne with Chaos Esports Club, is now a Valorant pro player with 100 Thieves. This is an express conversion that promises sparks for his new organization — which has so far had a hard time taking off.

Steel is a very experienced player who started competing in 2010 on CSS (Counter Strike: Source). On CS:GO, he never really managed to win in a top level team. He has gained notoriety during his years in second-tier teams with honorable results in minor tournaments while actively streaming. He was originally intended to stay at Chaos Esports Club, his last organization, as a Valorant creator content. The call of the competition must have been too strong and he is now back as a professional player with 100 Thieves.

If his exact level in Valorant remains difficult to assess, he has certainly not lost any of his reflexes. In any case, he won't be totally out of place in his new team, which already has two CS:GO defectors in its ranks: Spencer "Hiko" Martin and Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella — two former Team Liquid players.

While some rumors said that steel would join T1 — who must find two new players after releasing Austin "crashies" Roberts and Victor "food" Wong — the organization will have to bet on other players.
