Nothing goes well between Apple and Epic Games. In a legal war that has been going on for nearly a month, the Californian brand is cutting one by one the bridges that linked them to Fortnite's creators. As of September 11, it will no longer be possible to access your Epic Games account via the "Connect with Apple" option.
Epic Games recommends that anyone using this option update their email address and password.
To do so, follow these steps:
- Log in to Epic Games' General Settings page with your Apple ID and update your email address with your current address.
- If you weren't able to update your email address before the "Sign In with Apple" service ended and you no longer see the "Sign In with Apple" option, Epic Games can still recover your account manually. Contact support and provide the verification code that was in the email you received about this (the subject line of the email is "IMPORTANT!"). Epic Games account update required for continued access to your account"). The verification code you received should be in the following format: ABC-123-DEF
Update your password
If you used "Login with Apple", you may not have previously set up a password for your Epic Games account, so you'll need to do so now.
- Log in to Epic Games' "Change Password" page with your Apple ID and enter a new password.
If you were unable to update your password before the "Login with Apple" service ended but your email address was correct, please follow the steps on Epic Games' "Forgot Password" page.
