League of Legends: Alex Ich joins Riot Games as Software Engineer

It's been two years since Alexey "Alex Ich" Ichetovkin retired from the League of Legends scene, and almost six years since he has really known glory. And if we hadn't really heard from him for several years, the former Moscow5 midlaner has recently made the news, since he has just joined Riot Games as a Software Engineer.

Back in their day, the Moscow5 revolutionized the meta by inventing the concept of lane priority. The Russian formation had understood that pushing the minions allowed them to open the map, and ensure control over the different objectives. And although this vision of the game was pioneering at the time, it is clear that it is now part of the game's basics.

That said, it was a different era, and it was a different League.

Alex Ich hasn't officially commented on the team he's joining, nor on the missions he'll fulfill for Riot Games. We sincerely hope that he'll be the savior sent to finally fix the client.
