Some may be too young to have known the original machines, but jetpacks appeared almost in the early days of Fortnite! With the implementation of update 14.50, Epic Games reintroduces this mobility item in a variant made in Stark Industries.
It can be found just about anywhere on the map, via conventional loot means.
How it works
- Activated by jumping while the character is already in the air.
- Provides an upward boost allowing the character to fly for a short time.
- The player cannot switch to aiming mode while flying.
- The player can only stay in the air for a short period of time.
- The player must stay on the ground for a few seconds to recharge and fly again.
- When the jetpack has been fully used, it disappears.
More than a mobility item, the Jetpack will be especially useful for safely descending large buildings without suffering fall damage. Note that it still occupies a place in the inventory, so it may not be the best choice if you really want to win the game.
This addition is always a good thing, as Season 4 is slowly starting to run out of steam. Some leaks and rumors are circulating that a Slurp Bazooka — close to a Bandaged Bazooka — will appear on the live servers in a few weeks.
