The preseason of League of Legends brought a lot of changes to the shop and the items with a new UI, new icons, and brand new ways of destroying the enemy nexus. But it can take a bit of time to get used to such changes, even more, if you've been playing the game for a long time.
The new icons introduced in-game has been a hot topic for the community, with players fan of the changes and others way less enthusiastic. Riot Games heard this feedback and Mark Yetter from Riot announced that changes were coming with Patch 10.24.
You might not notice some of the changes made to these icons but the general idea is to lessen the "noise" on items' icons and make the global experience clearer so that players can find the items they want.
Patch 10.24 will also bring the next Prestige skin: Star Guardian Soraka.
