It will take place on the upcoming season of Fortnite, of which the elements are still unknown. The DreamHack Open maintains its edition for the month of December — still in Duos. The prize pool remains the same as in Season 4: $250,000 all servers combined.
It isn't yet certain whether the FNCS will have resumed by then. Rumour has it that they'll take place in Duos. This DreamHack Open will be a great training. It should cement most of the top EU Duos before the beginning of the big competitive event orchestrated by Epic Games.

Format
The course of the competition will be very similar to what we already know. Two Heats open to all will be held, and each of them will qualify in the semi-finals the 250 best duos.
In the Semi-finals, the 500 qualified duos will compete for points and the top 50 will then win their tickets to a six-game Grand Finals.
Launched in June 2020, Fortnite's monthly DreamHack Open has been a solo event until now. It has punctuated the competitive calendar at least as effectively as the FNCS.
