Whether it's with explosives, rods or harpoons, fishing has become a staple in Fortnite. Providing different effects when ingested, these delicacies have become priority targets to have as soon as possible in the inventory.
They even have a special place in the game, just like the battle pass. Enough to delight those who wish to collect them.
To access them, click on the View Quests tab on the left in the lobby, then on Collection and the fish icon.
In Chapter 2 Season 5, there are 40 fish in total.
New fish
Not all fish are found in the same place and don't all have the same rarity. Dataminers have found new fish visuals in the game files, visible below.
If the first one seems to act like a basic fish, regenerating HPs, the second one is much more interesting being a mythical rifty fish!
It will have the same properties as a rift, namely to teleport you in the air with a redeployable glider. No doubt it will become the most sought-after dish of the battle royale.
We can see that beyond these two species, the differences are mainly in appearance — which should make the rarities vary according to their scales.
