It's now possible to switch to the "Perfomance RT" mode, which prioritizes 60 fps graphics settings over Spider-Man Miles Morales, sacrificing a little resolution to add more density to pedestrians in the city. Ray-tracing is mostly present to adjust the resolution of the scenery, the reflection quality and as said just before the pedestrian density. It's a tool that allows a better immersion in the universe of the game.
We spend most of our time doing missions surrounded by civilians and the action scenes are very generally animated. According to the developer of Insomniac Games, the purpose of this update is to improve ray-tracing and to add a few additional corrections to the game, including the crash that occurred when the PS5 console was put in rest mode.
Also, don't forget that Spider-Man Miles Morales has been nominated as one of the games with the best capture and acting performance for this year's Game Awards. The ceremony will take place on the night of Thursday, December 10th to Friday, December 11th starting at 00:00, so feel free to vote if you feel that Nadji Jeter - the actor of Miles Morales - deserves the award for best performance in 2020. The other actors who are in the running are :
- Ashley Johnson for her work on Ellie from The Last of Us Part 2
- Laura Bailey for her work on Abby from The Last of Us Part 2
- Daisuke Tsuji for his work on Jin Sakai on Ghost of Tsushima
- Logan Cunningham for his work on Hades
Votes are still open, so don't hesitate to make your voice heard for the best actor in the "Best Performance" category!
