Evil Geniuses could well prove to be the surprise outfit of the 2021 LCS season. The org has confirmed a full roster for the upcoming split, almost a month and a half after the departure of three of its players.

League of Legends: Evil Geniuses confirm 2021 LCS roster

Evil Geniuses have finally unveiled their roster of players for the 2021 League of Legends season.

Following a disappointing Summer Split and failing to make Worlds, the org then saw the departure of three of their players last November. This led to a change of tone and intention for next year.

We already knew that jungler Dennis 'Svenskeren' Johnsen and midlaner Daniele 'Jiizuke' di Mauro would stay, but didn't know who would occupy the three remaining spots. Now all the unknowns have been revealed, and we have an official roster.

Svenskeren and Jiizuke are joined by toplaner Eon-yeong 'Impact' Jung,  ADC Matthew 'Deftly' Chen, and support Dong-geun ' IgNar ' Lee as support.

It's a roster bet that could turn out to be a winner, because the teams that Impact and IgNar come from proved to be in very good shape —in part because of the performance of the pair. Both Team Liquid and FlyQuest qualified for Worlds 2020, even though they fell in the Group Stage. The addition of Deftly is a vote of confidence for a player who showed promise for Evil Geniuses' Academy side.

It's an experienced yet surprising squad that promises to aim for the very top in 2021.
