Fortnite: Bugha signs two-year extension with Sentinels

At just 18 years of age and with a World Cup win behind him already, superstar Fortnite player Bugha has penned a new deal with Sentinels.

Still the reigning Fortnite World Champion given the lack of an event in 2020, Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf is now a superstar in the scene — even appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and other mainstream media outlets.

Now, after more than a year and a half as part of the Sentinels lineup, Bugha has renewed his contract with the US-based org. He's penned a two-year extension, a sizeable deal given the uncertainty of Fortnite esports in 2021 and beyond.

Over the past year Bugha has built a significant brand as a content creator, streaming on Twitch and teaming up with Five Below to create a line of gaming accessories that include headsets, keyboards and mice. He also teaches through AdvanceClub, a platform in which several top players offer their services to ambitious amateurs.

The agreement between Bugha and Sentinels comes on the player's 18th birthday, although it'll be a few years before he can have a celebratory champagne — the legal age in the United States being 21!
