The tense situation in which Sony and Microsoft find themselves regarding delivery of their new consoles doesn't seem to be getting any better. Components are still lacking, and with a global health crisis that has disrupted production and delivery processes, it's likely to take months before the situation stabilizes.
Mike Spencer, Microsoft's Head of Investors Relations, confirmed in the New York Times that it will be difficult to get a Xbox Series before June, at the very least.
On the other hand, scalpers — who are snatching up console stocks right under the noses of consumers — claim to have earned more than $38 million from next-gen console sales.
