This is the penultimate update for Fortnite Season 5. While we still do not know anything about the live event that will close the season, the game files are sure to provide answers for dataminers.
As usual, the game will be unavailable for a few hours while the update is implemented.
What's new in Update 15.40?
As usual, Epic Games revealed the outline of changes ahead of maintenance. At least three weapons will be added, some reissues, some new.
Apart from the usual bugfixes, the following will apply:
- Return of a weapon to perform trickshots
- New Exotic Weapons
- Returning LTMs: Air Royale & The Floor is Lava
- Improved texture quality for walls and items in Performance Mode
As always, we'll have to wait until the patch is fully deployed to really see what it has to offer.
