Fortnite to host Short Nite Film Festival

Fortnite to host Short Nite Film Festival

Twenty-four hours of short films are coming to Fortnite. Epic Games invites players to head into Party Royale mode and partake in a unique film festival.

Fortnite to host Short Nite Film Festival

Fortnite is known for its quirky in-game events, whether concerts from superstars like Travis Scott or ads taking aim at Epic Games' rivals

Now, we're getting a fully fledged film festival, entitled Short Nite

Starting February 20 at 2 PM ET, the big screen in Party Royale mode will air several animated shorts.

The shorts will come from all over the world — some of the shorts are even Oscar-nominated! The show will last approximately 30 minutes in total, and will be repeated non-stop for the 24-hour period, allowing everyone to experience the event.

To celebrate, the new Jumbo Popcorn emote will be available in the Item Shop from February 19 at 7 PM ET.

Subtitles will also be available for the shorts that contain dialogue, in your preferred language. Just make sure to enable them in the settings.

Content creators will not be permitted to record these shorts, although they are encouraged to bring their fans in for livestreams as it happens. VODs and streams will go dark, as per content protection rules.

The next Fortnite skins have been datamined through update 15.40

The deployment of Patch 15.40 has allowed dataminers around the world to identify files of unpublished cosmetics, which will emerge in the coming weeks on Fortnite.
