Alien's Ripley and Xenomorph land in today's Fortnite Item Shop

Today's Fortnite Item Shop brings us the latest crossover, this time with the Alien movie franchise.

Players can purchase two skins from the series — Ellen Ripley, one of the most iconic female protagonists in movie history, and her nemesis, the terrifying Xenomorph.

According to a special landing page explaining the lore, Agent Jonesy stopped by LV-426 to recruit Ripley, but the Xenomorph 'was able to sneak back' when he returned.

You can watch the story trailer below:

Players can purchase the Ripley and Xenomorph skins separately for 1,600 V-bucks apiece. Both come with their respective back blings - Ripley's being the Weyland-Yutani Cat Carrier (complete with Jonesy the Cat), and the Xenomorph has a tail — and in-built Xeno Menace emote.

There's also a bundle containing both, which costs 2,200 V-bucks, a saving of 1,000 V-bucks!

It's also worth picking up the Burst Case Scenario emote for 300 V-bucks, as it's pretty hilarious. Check it out in the video below, and watch for the little head pat!

You can also get the Space Gear Bundle, containing the emote, Cheyenne Dropship glider, and P-500 Power Loader Arm pickaxe in a bundle for 1,500 V-bucks.

Daily items on offer in the Item Shop include the following:

  • Raptor - 2,000 V-bucks
  • Velocity - 2,000 V-bucks
  • Tomatohead - - 1,500 V-bucks
  • Shadow Archetype - 1,500 V-bucks
  • Nite Gunner - 1,500 V-bucks
  • Mecha Team Shadow - 1,500 V-bucks
  • Shadow Bundle - 2,800 V-bucks
  • Komplex - 1,200 V-bucks

General Information

The Item Shop in Fortnite Battle Royale is refreshed daily, and offers new cosmetic items for use in the game.

These purchases are strictly decorative, and do not offer any advantage in game.

There are four types of items in the shop:

  • Skins that change the appearance of the character you control.
  • Gliders that change the appearance of the parachute you use to descend onto the island,
  • Harvesting equipment that changes the appearance of the pickaxe your character uses to destroy objects on the map and collect resources.
  • Emotes are animations that your character can perform on command.
  • Animations can consist of a simple wave, acrobatics or dances.
  • Each animation has its own sound effects, and almost all the dances are accompanied by a melody of their own.

The shop is divided into two parts: the Featured Items section, which contains items that are generally more rare, more expensive and typically remain available in the shop for forty-eight hours.

The second is Daily Items. and always contains two skins, two emotes, a glider and a pickaxe. Items in this category are less rare and less expensive, and only remain available in the shop for 24 hours.
