Facepunch Studios, developer of Rust, is expecting a "large amount of data loss" due to a fire breaking out at the OHV Datacenter in France.

The official Rust account tweeted the news earlier today:

OHVCloud stated that the fire broke out at 12:47am local time on March 10. The fire was contained, and no one was harmed, confirmed OHVCloud.

The Rust twitter account later confirmed a total loss of the EU servers affected by the fire, and that data will not be restored.

The initial launch of Rust on console had been delayed due to Covid-19, however it has been confirmed that it will launch on Playstation 4 and Xbox One this spring.
