Age of Empires 4 will be shown in a future event

There hasn't been much information about the future entry of one of the most influential RTS ever made. Since its announcement in 2017, only some pre-alpha footage was shown and Adam Isgreen, the creative director of Age of Empires IV, told Tech Radar that it would be a "fresh start" in the series.

However, this "obscure" situation will change in a few weeks. Microsoft just announced that an event called "Age of Empires: Fan Preview" will take place on April 10. The showcase will be about the future of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition and the fourth installment. It'll feature "new gameplay, civilizations, campaigns, behind the scenes and much more".
