Microsoft may be rebranding Xbox Live

Many users are seeing "Xbox Network" instead of "Xbox Live" on their consoles, no official update has been released by Microsoft

Microsoft may be rebranding Xbox Live

Released in November 2002, Xbox Live has been around for quite a while – and now it looks like Microsoft might be dropping the “Live” part altogether.

Several Xbox users reported seeing “Xbox Network” on the dash, instead of “Xbox Live”. This hasn’t been officially announced by Microsoft yet, but it does look like it’s in a testing phase. Considering that pretty much all Xbox consoles are consistently connected to the internet, Microsoft could change the branding.

Jez Corden, editor of Windows Central said "I can see the "Xbox Live" branding going away in the future".

Tom Warren of The Verge also tweeted a new image featuring another Xbox Network reference – this time with a screenshot showing “Upload to the Xbox Network”.

Bear in mind that nothing has been officially confirmed by Microsoft, but we’ll keep you updated on any official news.
