LCK champions DWG KIA and LPL champions RNG have secured themselves a spot at MSI 2021.

DWG KIA and RNG lock in semi-finals spot at Mid-Season Invitational

Two teams have locked themselves in for the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational semi-finals: DWG KIA and RNG advance to the next stage. Both teams have raked up enough wins to ensure a top four finish in the Rumble Stage.

For RNG, going 1-1 on the fourth day of the Rumble Stage was enough to reach the next phase of the tournament. In a nailbiter game against PSG Talon, RNG fought its way back and snatched the victory away from their opponents. While the team did lose against Cloud9 later on in the day, RNG was already locked in for the top four. DWG KIA had a strong showing altogether on the day. The LCK champions defeated MAD Lions in the rematch, and struck back against PSG Talon as well, who had defeated DWG KIA the first time the two met in the Rumble Stage.

The MSI 2021 Rumble Stage concludes today, with three teams still competing for the final two spots. While it's likely that PSG Talon and MAD Lions will advance, LCS champions Cloud9 are not completely out yet. If they win their final two games, against PSG Talon and MAD Lions, they might be able to force a tiebreaker game, depending on the results of the other teams.
