It seems more and more that Epic has decided to break the 4th wall and that this vault is the "Vault" where the weapons removed from the game in the past are stored. Several weapons and objects removed from the game began to appear on the screens inside the buildings of the excavation site.
Rumour has it that at the next event players will be able to vote to bring an object from the Vault back into the game.
