Bloober Team has entered into a partnership with Konami, the publisher of classic franchises such as PES, Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill. Rumoured since the release of The Medium, it has now come to pass.
While the official statement doesn’t give many details, many journalists and fans have started wondering about a new Silent Hill made by this team. Both studios said that they are trying to create “high-quality content”, and that they will use the strengths of each other for that aim.
Should we think about a new Silent Hill? While not confirmed, there are some details pointing in that direction. In their statement, Konami announced that they “delighted to work with Bloober Team and other prestigious game development partners, for the production of new and existing IPs."
Sure, Konami also has the rights to the Castlevania franchise (as well as other titles that have nothing to do with horror). However, the only game that is remotely similar to Bloober Team’s creations is Silent Hill.
On another topic, Konami announced that the company will try to form more alliances with other studios. This is part of their new strategy, which you can read below.
