Ubisoft has ended the week with two unfortunate pieces of news, affecting a pair of its most anticipated games.
Both Rainbow Six: Extraction and Riders Republic have been pushed to give the dev teams a few extra months to get the games ready for launch.
Double disappointment for Ubisoft fans
Riders Republic is perhaps the more unexpected delay of the two, the extreme sports game originally scheduled for September 2. It is the second delay for the title.
It will now be released around seven weeks later on October 28, with the consolation of an beta coming soon.
Also having a premiere pencilled in for September, Rainbow Six: Extraction will now be released in 2022.
It'll be interesting to see how Extraction turns out, having abandoned the competitive aspects of Siege to offer a more co-op-based alternative.
Delays have become common occurrences in recent times, with the ongoing pandemic haviing changed the rhythm of development cycles. Here's hoping there are no further delays!
