It's been a while since we had any new information about Arcane, but now the hype takes off.
Initially announced during the 10th anniversary celebrations for League of Legends back in 2019, the series was initially due to release in 2020. Due to the pandemic that was pushed back, with fans awaiting a new release date from Riot and Netflix.
Apart from a brief teaser released by Netflix recently, we've heard nothing more about the series. However, a new teaser has been posted on Chinese social network Weibo, one focused on Jinx and Vi.
The two champions meet on a roof in Piltover and chat for a significant time, before Vi hands Jinx a metal tube to serve as a spyglass. She guides Jinx through the city, showing her different locations while describing the memories that come to mind.
The clip ends with teenage Vi telling a slightly smaller Jinx that she is "stronger than she thinks" and that "one day the city will respect her." The clip is clearly set in the past for the two champions, when they forged a friendship that would eventually end in confrontation.
The full plot of the series has not yet been revealed, nor has the official release date. There's no question that Riot Games will continue to build up hype until this fall, ahead of Arcane's release on Netflix.
