Fortnite's Imposters mode is now live, and has created quite the stir given how closely it resembles - but doesn't acknowledge - indie smash Among Us.
However, that controversy hasn't dampened players' appetite for the new mode, and to celebrate, Epic has decided to host a special event in which players can unlock exclusive rewards.
From August 25 to September 6, you will be able to participate in Imposters Trials. Those wishing to take part must first register through this link.
The format is based on a system of badges that you will earn by playing the special mode.Once you've earned enough, you the rewards will be added to players' lockers.
You will have the opportunity to earn additional badges (max. eleven) every two games played. Badges will allow you to obtain the following rewards:
- 1 badge: Hot Headed Spray
- 6 badges: Just Between Us Emote
- 11 badges: Spectral Flex Wrap
This new game mode sees eight players taking on the roles of agents, whose task is to take care of The Bridge. Two impostors will aim to subvert your agents and take control of it for themselves.
The mechanics are pretty much identical to those of Among Us -- something which, let's face it, is a sinister move from Epic.
