Valorant: Everything we know about the new Fracture map

Riot Games has officially confirmed the release of Fracture, a new map that will come to Valorant in Patch 3.05.

The release marks the beginning of Act 2, which expands on the lore and goes a long way to explaining the game's mirrored world concept - and why the same agents can be on opposite teams.

What can we expect from Fracture?

Fracture differs in several different ways, in particular the shape of the map. Shaped like a letter 'H', it features two different bomb sites.

Curiously, it won't be the attacking team that starts on the bridge of the 'H', but the defending team. This sees the attacking team operate a kind of pincer movement, with the onus on the defenders to prevent deployment.

The map will also feature zip lines and ropes to climb, and a whole network of paths that are divided into two opposing biomes.

On one hand there's a Breeze-style jungle, and on the other a desert more similar to Bind. The idea behind the narrative is that this is one of the first manifestations of the "mirror universe" Riot Games revealed in the last lore cinematic.

There will also be interactive objects and a series of secrets hidden around the map, leading to Fracture being a map with the riskiest design to date.

Testing will begin soon, with the new map to be deployed at a later date. You can see images of the new map below.

Valorant: Riot plans big changes to ranks, and this is how it will affect you based on your level

Starting with Act 2 Episode 3, Valorant's rank system will be more accessible to players. Riot Games has promised a general improvement to adjust the distribution of ranks and avoid that most of the players are grouped in the worst positions.
