League of Legends Patch 11.18, the one immediately before Worlds 2021, was shaping up to have several bugs, champions in unhealthy states, and things that would need to be fixed as soon as possible.
Jeevun Sidhu, Lead Game Designer at Riot, shared some of the issues that are being discussed on forums and social media.
Sidhu acknowledged that the game has many bugs, as well as changes that didn't translate correctly into the skill descriptions. At the same time, he announced that there are already active micro-patches that have fixed some issues, but that there is still work to be done.
Patch 11.18: Major issues
Here's a quick list of the most annoying issues that Riot acknowledge need fixing:
- Predator: The corresponding buffs were applied, but their tooltip didn't reflect them. This will be fixed in 11.19.
- Dr. Mundo: The bonus HP on Mundo's ult wasn't communicated properly. In the tooltip it says bonus health, when in fact it should be base health -- and therefore doesn't count towards bonus HP ratios. This was done to 'minimize the impact the substantial risk of swinging his power level too much'.
- Qiyana: Pro players reported that their E+Q combo wasn't working as intended. Specifically, it would ignore enemies affected by the knockback of certain abilities, such as Qiyana's ult. Fortunately, a micropatch has already been released that solves it.
- Singed: Although the idea was for his ultimate to apply Grevious Wounds, in the end his Poison Trail (Q) did instead. Originally it was believed that would suffice, but feedback is welcome if players feel otherwise.
- Taliyah: has two specific errors. One has a solution, but the other requires more work.
- Janna: Zephyr (W) will be more persistent on her.
Patch 11.18 version will remain until September 22, when the 11.19 "Worlds Patch" goes live.
