Clothing and LoL, a story that endures
Before starting to collaborate with other companies, Riot Games developed its own merchandise. With rather affordable prices and an appealing variety of items, fans quickly flocked to the official store. Hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts and more, Riot's clothes are well produced and their designs have generally been successful.
Given the huge success of the game, it was a normal progression for the studio to partner with famous clothing brands to continue the adventure.
We've already witnessed the obscenely expensive association with Louis Vuitton for Worlds 2019, the more affordable H&M collection, and even the most recent — and more successful — collab with Uniqlo which also offered affordable but better quality items.
Too many collabs?
This time, the collab is between the Californian developer and Bershka, and the result is just... not good. Of course, this is a subjective statement on our part, but still... The prices aren't too hot, but we remain a little speechless when looking at the range.
The women's collection is slightly better than that of the men, but there's nothing to get really hyped about.
An ultra-tight (too much so?) dress, or a tracksuit which looks more like pajamas — choose your loser.
The worst is in the men's collection. Sure, there's that awful tracksuit, but there's an even worse trekking outfit — which looks like it's straight out of the 1980s.
However, perhaps the scariest item is a legging/t-shirt combo — if it's even a t-shirt — in Ezreal's colours.
Fortunately, the range is not very expensive — prices range from $15 for a pair of socks to $70 for multi-pocketed pants. Even at those prices, we're not sure they'll find many customers.
There's already some pretty mean reviews on the web, with some calling this range "the WORST collection I've ever seen, no LoL fan will ever buy it, I've seen better stuff on AliExpress. The product manager on this collection, he needs a quick demotion. It's literally like someone who has no idea about the game has googled 'League of Legends Characters' and picked the 5 first images that appeared, then applied them to a t-shirt on his personal printer".
It's hard to admit, but this reviewer isn't necessarily wrong...
If, however, you fell in love with an item, you can find the range by following this link. We don't think you'll have any issues with availability..
