Talent does not wait for the count of years. Proof of this has been made with Rayan "General Sniper" Shoura, a 14-year-old North American streamer. He indeed broke the LP record held on League of Legends NA servers, kicking in the process a pro player from his throne, Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in, Team Liquid's support. If this name means anything to you, it's normal : General Sniper was recruited in November 2020 by Cloud9 as a streamer. A contract very quickly aborted since he was not yet 15 years old, the minimum legal age for his recruitment.
Stronger than a veteran
If the player is getting famous again these days, it is because he has just broken — at the age of only 14 — the LP record held on NA servers. We are of course talking here of the Challenger Rank, the highest level players can reach on the ladder.
He reached 1,850 LP on October 22nd. Along his annoucement's tweet, he kindly apologized to CoreJJ, who had already broken this record in June, with "only" 1807 LP.
With so much skill at such a young age, there are decent chances that this young talent will find a professional contrat in the upcoming years. If Cloud9 has already shown some interest for him, we can fairly imagine that he will join an academic structure very soon.
For the record, he is none other than the little brother of Omran "V1per" Shoura, top laner for the Immortals academic team. A family of players who therefore seem to have a bright future ahead of them.
