Forspoken, previously known as Project Athia, got another trailer at The Game Awards that revealed a little more about the plot and what gameplay looks like, as well as a release date.
Officially revealed during a Square Enix event last March, the Luminous Productions-developed title has had several smaller information drops over the year, showing more of this intriguing, post-apocalyptic world.
Forspoken Release Date Revealed
Forspoken will be released for PC and PlayStation 5 on May 24, 2021.
Players take on the role of a young woman, Frey Holland, transported from New York City to the world of Athia. There, she finds herself endowed with supernatural powers and extreme agility, and in a desperate battle to survive.
Square Enix describes Forspoken as "a new narrative adventure set in a world of cruel beauty."
Preorders are already live via the PlayStation Store.
