Did you know that a loyalty program was available on the Nintendo Switch? By completing a few missions, you can unlock rewards and Platinum Points to spend on player icons. For this month of May 2022, it is in particular the Animal Crossing New Horizons, Mario Kart and Kirby games that are in the spotlight. Please note, however, that this offer is only available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
How do I access Nintendo Switch Online rewards and missions?
You must have a paid subscription to Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) to access all of these features. Once done, go to the HOME menu of your console and click on the icon at the bottom left of the NSO. You will then see a section called "Missions and Rewards" and this is where you will find the list of quests for the month of May. In general, the missions are simple and just require you to play games.
Completing the various NSO missions earns you Platinum Points which can then be redeemed for items in the Nintendo Store, as well as "new member-exclusive icon items that you can collect and assemble to create a new icon. user."

Be aware that the delay between completing a mission and posting the points to your account can sometimes be quite long, especially during busy periods. If your points don't appear right away, check back later. Regarding Kirby, the offer is unfortunately already over.

- Play online (connect to the internet on ACNH for example): 30 platinum points per week
- Use save data cloud: 20 platinum points per week
- Play Super NES games: 50 platinum points
- Use the console's NSO app: 20 platinum points per week
- Play Featured Software (Splatoon 2): 100 Platinum Points
Once the missions above have been completed and your platinum points have been collected, you can therefore unlock icon elements, in particular: frames, characters, backgrounds, to put in your profile picture. To do this, simply select the item you want to get and buy it with your points. However, to customize your profile icon with "paid" rewards, you must do so through the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app.
