Even if we know that season 2 of Arcane will not arrive before 2023, the wait may seem long. And very good news since we should learn a little more about the second season of the series inspired by the League of Legends universe during Geeked Week organized by Netflix in June.

LoL - Arcane: Soon news of season 2

The months are still long before discovering the second season of Arcane, the animated series inspired by the League of Legends universe and broadcast on Netflix. The first season was a resounding success , boosting the audiences of the platform, but was also recognized for its quality by winning in particular 9 awards at the Annie Awards – the equivalent of the Oscars for animation. The production of Fortiche and Riot Games is also nominated at the Annecy Festival in the category "Television films in competition" for episode 6, When the empire collapses - but the results are still to be awaited since the ceremony is will be held from June 13 to 18.

Before knowing if Arcane has won another prestigious award, we should finally have news of the series, and this, very soon.

RDV June 8

For the second consecutive year, Netflix is hosting Geeked Week: "Geeked Week 2022 is a free virtual event that celebrates Netflix series, movies and games from the worlds of the imagination. It will take place over five days, from the 6th to the 10th June, across all of your favorite platforms. Expect an onslaught of scoops, trailers, celebrity appearances and more.

The program was revealed a few days ago and, good news, Arcane is on the program! If we have known for a while that season 2 will not be broadcast this year, we can expect new imagines and, let's be crazy, some plot leads.

Even if we will have to wait many more months to find Jinx, Vi, Jayce and company, this little taste should delight the fans!

How to watch Geeked Week?

The event is broadcast on all major platforms, via Netflix's YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, Twitch and Facebook channels. Geeked Week takes place from Monday June 6 to Friday June 10 at the following times (for France):

  • Monday 6 June at 6 p.m.: Films
  • Tuesday 7 June at 6 p.m.: Series
  • Wednesday June 8 at 6 p.m.: Entertainment
  • Thursday June 9 at 6 p.m.: Stranger Things
  • Friday 10 June at 6 p.m.: Games

Apart from the Arcane series, Netflix promises us something heavy! We can of course think of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners series which should reveal its first images, we are also awaiting a release date for The Sandman, a series adapted from the eponymous graphic novels by Neil Gaiman , and much more. In all, about sixty announcements should be made – and there will be something for everyone!
